A Baby Shower for Beckham - The Games

The baby shower was a co-ed couples shower, so the hubbies came along too!

We played a few traditional games like baby picture matching, but the highlight for the boys seemed to be the "Don't say BABY" game where you can't say the word BABY and if you do, whomever catches it takes away the pastel-colored plastic clothes pin you started the game with. In the end the person with the most clothes pins wins.

The guys were fiercely competitive at this game. Our friend Johnny captured a whole bunch of pins, which he placed across his chest and as women commented on the number of pins he had accumulated he would incredulously say "my eyes are up here," of course referring to men's propensity for starring at a women's chest instead of her eyes.

Johnny didn't win the game in the end, getting caught in a political conversation about child support that tricked him into saying BABY and thus loosing ALL his clothes pins. Poor Johnny. The funniest part of the "Don't say BABY" game was how the boys who had already lost their clothes pins turned the whole thing into a drinking game... Jason broke open the Patron that we got him for his birthday and the boys insisted that any man who said BABY and didn't have a clothes pin to give up had to take a shot.

Needless to say, Brice and Jason were taking most of the shots themselves!
